Day 46 "Completely Righteousness in Christ" (Romans: Chapter Ten)

ree

Have you ever position yourself in the waters of a waterfall so that the water completely flows over your body? Continuous. Endless. So, too, is living our lives in the understanding that what Christ did on the cross was to make us completely righteousness before our heavenly Father- continuously, endlessly. When the heavenly Father looks at us as believers and followers of his Son, he sees us as he sees his own Son, perfect without blemish of sin. If we are completely righteous in Christ, we are free from condemnation and free to live the rest of our lives in peace with God as

his child.

"He himself bore our sins in his body

on the tree, so that we might die to

sins, and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed." 1 Peter 2:24

May your eyes be opened as you read the tenth chapter of Romans to discover the wonderful new that God's righteousness can be found through faith in Christ.

Verse 3: "Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to

establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness." (Jewish people)

Verse 13: "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Verse 20: "I was found by those who did not seek me; I revealed myself to those who did

not ask for me." (The Gentiles)

Key verses for me:

Verse 4: "Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone

who believes."

Verse 9: "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and you believe in your

heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Righteousness, the quality of being morally right or justifiable, is available to everyone.

The glorious good news of the gospel is that we don't have to strive and perform to achieve it. Jesus has done it all for us. Though it has not not cost you or I anything, it has cost Jesus dearly. He gave everything! Jesus paid the price to set you and I free forever. That is what I call, love.

**************************************************************************

'For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect."

1 Peter 1:18-19

"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the holy spirit, who is in you, whom

you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price.

Therefore, honor god with your body." 1 Corinthians 6:18-20

What will you do with the freedom purchased

for you on the cross at Calvary?

Make a difference in the world today: love! Not because you have to, but because of who you already are in Christ.

Until tomorrow...
