Day 170 "It Is Well. You Make Me Brave."

I thought today would be a good day for simply meditating on the goodness of God and how he cares for us. These are tumultuous times in the life of our country here in the United States. But as the apostle Paul acknowledges our citizenship is in heaven and there are better times ahead.

"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord

Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his

control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body"

Philippians 3:20-21

With only a hundred days left until we hold the election to decide who will lead us as president over the next four years, I contend that neither candidate is truly qualified and possess the character and fortitude, combined with the needed compassion and spirit of servitude to lead our country forward into an era of healing and inspiration. But this does not mean that there is not leadership for us through these difficult times. Inspiration and leadership can be ascertained and discovered within one life at a time discovering the unconditional love and servant's heart found in Christ, and Christ alone. I encourage you to explore for yourself who Christ claimed to be and how he lived his life among us. No greater person than he is truly worthy of our love and following. He truly is the servant-king.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever

believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his

Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."

John 3:16-17

So, I invite you, now, to take a few minutes to rest your weary and anxious soul and calmly listen to a couple of songs by Bethel Music. May they bring peace and hope to your spirit.
