Day 163 "God's Mosaic Masterpiece"

Only the shattered and scattered pieces on one's life was left. Hardly the initial plan, the hopes and dreams formulated in one's youth. But poor choices, wrong friends, life's events, had diverted the course of action and upended the dreams. All that seemed left of what once was an oasis of opportunities had become just a barren landscape filled with hopelessness, despair, scars and regret. Sound familiar to you? What do you do when there is nothing but pieces of your life remaining, what the world might consider as unworthy or unredeemable, nothing more than trash to be ignored or discarded? In our own hands, we may only see the mountain of the impossibility, overcome by the weight of its heaviness.
"I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?" Psalm 121:1
No matter where you are in life, lift up your head and look heavenward.
"My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and Earth." Psalm 121:2
The skilled and uncomparable creator of heaven of Earth knows you and loves you. His love for you is unconditional and unmerited, unlike anything else you will find in the world. What the world may have deemed you as discarded scrapes and broken pieces, God sees you as material worthy to make into a beautiful mosaic.
"The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an
everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness." Jeremiah 31:3
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take
my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and
you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Matthew 11:28-30
Like a skillful master of one's craft, God's love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness fuses us into a new creation through Christ.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has
come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ."
2 Corinthians 5:17-18
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
Sometimes, when we come to the end of our rope, it is the only thing which can bring us to the point of turning our head and self-centered heart towards God. But what seems to be the end of our sufficiency, is only the beginning of God's. Behold, in God hands, you will become God's mosaic masterpiece.
"For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into
the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." Colossians 1:13

"And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power,
together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is
the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may
be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:17-19
Like the prodigal son's father who lovingly welcomed home his wayfaring son, so, too, does your heavenly Father await for you. Trust God to reshape your life into a beautiful mosaic.
